We are in star crazy times.
It is not about star crazy or cricket loving times - we have always been that ;)
The media now rakes up all these stories, sensationalizes them, repeats them like 12-hour old chewing gum, and keeps feeding it to us. Channel 7 seems to be particularly adept at this. A much-repeated "news" item on the day of CAT exam : A reality show type footage of a guy going to Hanuman temple and praying - With questions on what exactly he prayed for, what he is going to eat before the exam, what he has been doing from the past couple of days .. might have went on to which brand of pencil/watch he was using and what clothes he was wearing, but I thankfully switched the channel ..
